Robert Lewandowski is approaching a crucial stage in his career as his contract with Barcelona runs until the end of June 2026 and the Polish striker has made it clear that he is in no rush to decide his future.
According to the Sport, If Barcelona wants to retain him beyond this season he is willing to make a financial effort to remain a central figure in their project and moreover he is motivated by the possibility of continuing to compete at the highest level in European football.
The 37-year-old striker signed a three-year deal in 2022 with the Catalan giants with an optional extension and has shown his top-level consistency throughout the current season.
If he maintains this performance Barcelona could be convinced to extend his contract and keep him as a key figure while also fighting for major trophies.
Reportedly, he rejected lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia this summer preferring to remain focused on titles and contributing to the club’s ambitions both domestically and in European competitions.
AC Milan position themselves for Lewandowski
AC Milan have reportedly started inquiring about Lewandowski and their sporting director Igle Tare met with his agent Pini Zahavi to assess his intentions according to the Spanish outlet.
The Rossoneri have won seven Champions League trophies an Italian record and they are positioning themselves to offer Lewandowski a chance to continue competing at the top level in Europe.

Transfermarkt currently values the striker at €12m [$14m].
Reportedly, Lewandowski prioritizes staying at Barcelona, but if he does not secure a contract extension, AC Milan’s status as a historic club with regular Champions League participation could make them a potential destination if he decides to remain in Europe.
