The World Test Championship cycle of 2023-25 is about to see its much-anticipated conclusion as Australia will attempt to defend their title against South Africa from June 11 in the final.
The final of the cycle will be played at the iconic Lord's Stadium in London, where Temba Bavuma's men will look to end their wait for a major ICC trophy that has eluded the Proteas since 1998.
This will be the first of the three finals in which the runner-ups from both editions, India, won't be competing to win the trophy.

Interestingly, this edition's winners and runner-ups will receive a considerable hike from that of the previous two finalists.
Both the finalists will get over twice the amount Australia and New Zealand (the winners) and India (the runner-ups) won in 2021 and 2023.
The following is the prize money won by the WTC finalists in 2021 and 2023:
- Winners (New Zealand and Australia): $1.6 million
- Runner-ups (India x 2): $800,000
