Representatives from state associations from around the country are set to meet in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) annual general body meeting on September 28.
After several former cricketers showed no interest in the president's position, one of the agendas of the AGM would be to elect the BCCI president, Vice-President, Secretary, Joint-Secretary and Treasurer.
Apart from the office bearers, the election and induction of one of the general body representatives into the BCCI apex council and two in the IPL governing council would also take place in the AGM.

A couple of former Indian cricketers are among the names who would represent their associations in the meeting, with Harbhajan Singh joining the list.
Harbhajan Singh to represent PCA in BCCI AGM
According to the Indian Express, Harbhajan has been elected as Punjab Cricket Association's representative for the meeting on the 28th.
After Ganguly held the president's position from 2019 to 2022, followed by the 1983 World Cup winner, Roger Binny, it is to be known whether a cricketer is re-elected to lead BCCI into the new era.

The last time an election took place to decide the president was over a decade ago, and September 20 to 21 is the two-day window given to candidates to file their nominations for the post, while they can withdraw their names by September 23.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly and IPL chairman Arun Dhumal are among the people nominated to be a part of the AGM. Below is the list of confirmed names:
