Who will win Asia Cup 2025? "India must have a terrible day" to lose in final, says former cricketer image

Reigning champions India are overwhelming favourites to defend their title in UAE this year after maintaining a 100 per cent win record in the tournament so far.

They have won all of their group stage matches convincingly and then outclassed arch-rivals Pakistan for the second time in the tournament in their Super 4 stage opening game last Sunday.

They are now just one win away from sealing a berth in the final of the Asia Cup and they could do so by beating Bangladesh on Wednesday, September 24.

Sri Lanka are virtually out of the race for the final spot, which means that the game between Pakistan and Bangladesh will decide the team that will challenge the Men in Blue for the title.

As per former India international Robin Uthappa, none of the teams in the Super Four stage are good enough to even pose the slightest of challenges to India in the final, as he backed Suryakumar Yadav to lift the trophy in Dubai on Sunday.

What did Robin Uthappa say about India's chances of winning Asia Cup 2025?

Speaking on the KimApa YouTube channel, the former KKR star said: "No one. If that even is a possibility, India must have a terrible day. To think that these youngsters are going to have a terrible day, it can happen in cricket, but it seems highly unlikely.

A lot of them are playing for their spots in the World Cup and everything can change. Everyone's driven to perform so it's very unlikely that India won't walk away with the Asia Cup."
