The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the list of contracted cricketers a few months back.

Players in the contract are divided into four categories: A+, A, B and C. The highest-paid players earn 7 crore, followed by categories where they earn 5 crore, 3 crore and 1 crore, respectively.

A total of four players on the list are paid 7 crores as per the best contract, which includes the T20 World Cup-winning skipper Rohit Sharma and others who are all-format players.

The next category consists of players who are white-ball regulars or play Tests and one other format.
