The Asia Cup 2025 is approaching, as the United Arab Emirates hosts the tournament from September 9 to 28 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

This will be the 17th edition of the competition, which was first played in 1984, and India will head into it as the defending champions after winning their 8th title in 2023.

Ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026, this year's edition of the tournament will be played in T20 format for the third time after 2016 and 2021.

Over the years, the continental competition has seen greats like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Sanath Jayasuriya and Younis Khan, among others, participating and scoring heavily in it.

Which batters have the highest score in the Asia Cup? Kohli leads the charts

One Day Internationals:

Kohli's career highest ODI score of 183(148) against Pakistan, which helped India chase 330 runs in Mirpur 2012, is the highest score in Asia Cup's history.

Only Babar Azam is the other batter who has scored over 150 in the tournament.

T20 Internationals:

Like ODIs, the former India skipper also holds the record for the highest score in the Asia Cup played in T20 format. He scored his only T20I century against Afghanistan in the 2022 edition.

Hong Kong vice-captain Babar Hayat sits second in the list, with the top score of 122(60) against Oman in the qualifying round of the 2016 Asia Cup.
