New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell scripted history on Sunday, April 28, as he took five catches during Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Mitchell equalled the record of most catches taken in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match, which was set by Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi on October 4, 2021, in Abu Dhabi, while representing SRH in a match against Mumbai Indians (MI).

It was a brilliant bowling performance from CSK, with Tushar Deshpande registering figures of 4/27. Chasing 213, SRH were bundled out for just 134 runs.
Earlier in the match, Mitchell made a good contribution with the bat, raising a century stand with skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad for the second wicket. The Kiwi all-rounder scored 52 in 32 balls.
