Kohli last played for India in the ODI series against South Africa in December, where he emerged as the highest runscorer and won the Man of the Series award, scoring two hundreds and a half-century.
Following the ODI series, Kohli returned to action in domestic cricket as he played a couple of games for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and scored a century in one of them.
