Not many cricketers can leave an impact on the level that Virat Kohli has left on Indian cricket. The cricketer from Delhi is one of the biggest superstars in the world and has been the flag bearer of Indian cricket at the global stage.

India's former U-19 World Cup-winning skipper Unmukt Chand has lauded Kohli, as he called him his inspiration and motivation to take up the game. 

Unmukt Chand calls Virat Kohli his biggest inspiration in cricket

Kohli has always been one of the most loved cricketers in the country. Known for his work ethic and unwavering spirit, the Indian legend has inspired generations, and amongst those, one man is Unmukt.

"Virat Kohli is an Inspiration to me", said the former Indian U19 World Cup-winning skipper on TRP podcast. Chand hails from India's national capital, Delhi, which is also Kohli's hometown. The Indian legend started his cricket from Delhi and broke onto the scene playing for the capital side. 

Chand's career, however, has been a complete contrast to that of Virat Kohli. While the two Delhi boys came up with a dream of making it big for the country, only one was really able to live up to it. 

While Kohli is one of the biggest legends the game has ever seen, Chand failed to make it big as his career took a disappointing turn after the initial ups that he witnessed in the early days.

After his U19 World Cup victory and his initial success at the Indian Premier League, the young man failed to make use of the chances. Chand, in his limited opportunities, failed to impress the national selectors and never made it to the senior side.

At 28, he retired from all forms of cricket in India and decided to look for opportunities in the United States of America. Chand currently features in the domestic league in the States. 

While the two Delhi boys have had completely different experiences and impacts on Indian cricket, Chand is firm with his opinion that he still looks up to Virat Kohli as a symbol of resilience, grit, determination, and a source of immense motivation.
