India are off to a flying start in the 2025 Women's World Cup on home soil, as they maintained a perfect record after their first two matches in the tournament.
Team India kicked off proceedings with a 59-run win over Sri Lanka in their rain-affected opening match of the tournament. They then topped it by registering a comprehensive win over arch-rivals, as they beat their neighbours by 88 runs.
In the third game on Thursday, October 9, Harmanpreet Kaur and Co. are in action against South Africa at Visakhapatnam. The hosts batted first, with Mandhana and Pratika Rawal opening the innings.

Mandhana, who has had a difficult outing in the World Cup this year, got a good start but once faltered as she was dismissed for just 23 runs in 32 balls.
While the southpaw failed to produce yet another quality innings, she did create history in the process as she became the highest run-scorer in a calendar year in Women's ODI.
