India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant has been out of action since he suffered a toe fracture against England during the fourth Test at Manchester late in July.
Despite being able to come back and bat for the remainder of the first innings, where he scored 17 runs after injury, the keeper was ruled out of the fifth Test and ended the series with 479 runs in 7 innings.
While he kept giving updates on his recovery through social media, there was no exact date set for his return.

However, with the Asia Cup heading towards its business end and West Indies Tests approaching, there is an update on when the player could be seen back in action.
Rishabh Pant injury update: When will he return from the toe fracture?
According to Jagran News, following Pant's injury layoff, the wicketkeeper batter is set to miss the two-match Test series against the West Indies.
However, if the rehabilitation goes to plan, Pant will be seen in India whites when South Africa tours India in November-December.
As the 27-year-old is likely to return for the South Africa Tests, he will miss out on the Australia ODI and T20I series starting from October 19.
After playing the fifth Test at the Oval, Dhruv Jurel will be seen keeping the wickets for India against West Indies after his 140(197) against Australia A in the recent unofficial Test.
