Things with Virat have changed - Bhuvneshwar Kumar

In a conversation on the 'Talk with Manavendra' YouTube Podcast, the veteran Indian pacer reflected on his bond and conversations with the great Virat Kohli. Bhuvi remarked that over the years, as the duo matured, their conversations have also evolved.

"Things are different now. When we meet these days, we talk more about family or off-the-ground family matters because everyone has a family now. We talk about how we are doing in life, other than cricket. Earlier, when we weren’t married and were younger, it was more about the usual fun and jokes boys have. So that’s where the change has come," Bhuvneshwar said.

Virat and Bhuvi share a long-standing bond. The duo shared the same dressing room, playing for RCB, even before they represented the county. The pacer was a part of the RCB setup in 2009 and 2010; however, he did not feature in any of the games.

On his return to the franchise after 15 years, Bhuvi picked up 17 wickets in 14 games and played an instrumental role, both with the new ball as well as during the death overs. The 35-year-old pacer used all his experience as he showcased his brilliance with the ball.

He further credited the entire team for their collective efforts to take RCB to their maiden IPL title. "This time, the biggest difference was that all the players in the playing XI won matches for the team in different games, in different situations, and in different roles," said Bhuvi.
