Everyone thought the India vs Pakistan clash in Dubai would only bring heat on the field, but the real noise came from what took place once the game was over

India outplayed Pakistan and sealed a comfortable seven-wicket win, yet the big talking point was the missing handshake between the two sides.

Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja has now criticised the BCCI and Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav, saying he cannot understand India’s “money-based patriotism.”

India refuses handshake with Pakistan players

As soon as Suryakumar Yadav finished the game with a six, he and Shivam Dube walked straight towards the Indian dressing room.

The rest of the team followed, leaving Pakistan’s players waiting for the customary handshake. Salman Ali Agha and his teammates stood expecting the post-match gesture, but no Indian cricketer joined them.

Even at the toss earlier, Surya and Salman Agha avoided shaking hands, which had already raised eyebrows before the match began.

What did Ramiz Raja say about the handshake row?

Reacting strongly to the incident on Hum News, Ramiz Raja slammed India’s approach. He said that if India avoided the handshake, Pakistan should respond the same way in the next meeting.

He also questioned India’s attitude, adding that while he understands the emotional angle for Indian fans, he fails to understand their so-called “money-driven patriotism.” According to Raja, gestures like these only harm the spirit of the game.

"We should not shake hands with them next match. It won't happen. They started it by not doing the handshake. I mean Suryakumar Yadav shook hands with captain Salman Ali Agha and Mohsin Naqvi before facing backlash in India. I understand there is emotional value in India. I can't understand their 'paise wale' [money based] patriotism.'" he added.
