Fans got to witness some blockbuster batting in the ongoing Kerala Cricket League 2025 as Calicut Globstar's Salman Nizar breathed fire in the final two overs of the first innings.
Batting first against Adani Trivandrum Royals, Calicut were struggling at 115/6 after 18 overs, however, the last two overs of their innings completely changed the complexion of the game.
Hitting 11 sixes in the final 13 balls, Nizar took his team's tally to 186 runs. He himself remained not out on 86 of 26 balls.

The southpaw's innings also included 40 runs in a single over. In the final over of the match, Nizar hit six sixes and a four off a wide and a double no-ball.
While chasing the total, Trivandrum were bowled out for 173 runs as Akhil Scaria scalped four wickets for 50 runs in four overs.

In the second match of the day, Sanju Samson's Kochi Blue Tigers are in action against Thrissur Titans. The India wicket-keeper batter is on the bench and is likely to come out to bat as an impact player in the second innings.
