The 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is just days away from getting underway.
The first match of the new IPL season will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on March 22 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

India's Anil Chaudhary and Nitin Menon, two highly regarded umpires, are the most experienced IPL umpires heading into IPL 2024, having officiated 121 and 94 matches, respectively.
Australian umpire Rod Tucker will be officiating in his 14th IPL season, the longest-serving IPL umpire in the list.
There are a total of 21 umpires chosen to officiate in IPL 2024: 17 from India, two from Australia, and one each from New Zealand and England.
