IPL 2023: Which Australian players will feature in the Indian Premier League? image

The upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament is just over a week away and fans are getting excited.

Following an enthralling auction that was held late in 2022, franchise lists have been confirmed across the 10 teams with Australians featuring heavily in the game.

All-rounder Cameron Green leads the way for the Aussies after being scooped up by the Mumbai Indians for a whopping $3.15 million AUD (Rs 18.5 crore).

Green — who has been tending to a finger injury of late — quickly put to bed any uncertainty to his availability, saying he is ready to go at the end of March.

Joining the all-rounder in the IPL is Jhye Richardson (Mumbai Indians), Adam Zampa (Rajasthan Royals) and Daniel Sams (Lucknow Super Giants), who were all sold at the auction in December last year.

There are also nine Australians who have been retained from the previous season for the 2023 edition of the IPL, led by David Warner (Delhi Capitals) and Josh Hazlewood (Royal Challengers Bangalore).
