India to wear pink cricket jersey? Harmanpreet Kaur and team to don special kit for breast cancer awareness | IND-W vs AUS-W image

In a wonderful initiative by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Indian women's side is all set to don a special pink jersey in their upcoming clash against Australia. 

The Indian Women's side will lock horns with the Australian Women's side in a series decider on Saturday, September 20th at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

The initiative has come as the side's support towards Breast Cancer and spreading awareness regarding the disease. 

India Women to don a special pink jersey against Australia Women

The ongoing ODI series between India Women and Australia Women is currently tied at 1-1 and is all set for a thrilling series decider. What would make the game even more special would be Team India's heartfelt initiative, showing their support to create awareness for Breast Cancer. 

Breast cancer is a major health issue that affects a large number of women across the world. By wearing the pink jersey, Team India would put forward a strong statement and would join the list of sporting teams supporting such social causes.

"Team India will be wearing special pink-coloured jerseys in the Third ODI today to promote Breast Cancer Awareness, in partnership with @SBIlife, mentioned BCCI in their post on X. 

👏India-Australia ODI series all set for the decider

Two of the giants of Women's cricket, Team India and Australia, are fighting it out in a highly contested ODI series. With the Women's World Cup starting next week, the series has presented two of the top title contenders with a solid stage for their preparations for the marquee event. 

The series is currently tied at 1-1. Australia defeated India by 8 wickets in the first game, while India came back strong to clinch the second encounter by 102 runs, their biggest win in terms of runs against the World Champions. 

With the win, India also registered their first ODI victory against Australia at home since 2007. They additionally ended Australia's 13-match winning streak in the 50-over format. 

While Australia will be the favourites, if India beats the mighty side, it would provide them with a huge boost ahead of the home World Cup starting in a few days.
