The Indian test team will be back in action after a gap of two months as they are all set to host West Indies in a two-match series, starting October 2.

The Red-ball side under the captaincy of Shubman Gill had a terrific outing in England during the summer as they came back from behind to hold the hosts to a 2-2 draw.

Now the focus shifts to the home Test season, where India will host West Indies and South Africa in the month of October.

A lot has been said about Jasprit Bumrah's participation in the England tour, as the ace Indian fast bowler featured in three out of the five matches. Bumrah, who was still recovering from a back injury at that time, decided to skip two games to manage his workload and avoid overexertion.

Will Jasprit Bumrah play against West Indies in the home Test series?

With Bumrah currently in UAE with the Indian T20I team participating in the ongoing Asia Cup, many believed that the pacer would sit out the West Indies tour as part of workload management and come back for the more difficult South Africa series in November.

However, according to The Indian Express, Bumrah has informed the BCCI that he is available for the Test series.

Manav Suthar to earn maiden India call-up

23-year-old Manav Suthar is likely to get picked for the West Indies tour, the IE report added. The Gujarat Titans spinner is currently representing the India A side in the second unofficial Test match against Australia A in Lucknow and on the first day of the game, he picked up a fifer.

The young spinner has impressed the selectors, who are ready to try him in the West Indies tour. While Ravindra Jadeja remains India's main spin bowler, thinking about the future, the BCCI selectors want to give Suthar an opportunity.
