IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 clash: Suryakumar Yadav reveals how he is dealing with pressure amid handshake controversy image

India captain Suryakumar Yadav courted the biggest controversy of the Asia Cup 2025 last Sunday, when he denied a handshake to Pakistan captain Salman Agha during the toss of their group stage clash, before the entire Indian team walked off the pitch without exchanging the customary greetings, following their seven-wicket win over their rivals.

The India skipper's gesture divided opinions as the experts on the other side of the border severely criticised Yadav for his lack of sportsmanship.

Since SKY's gesture on the field, a lot has happened between the Pakistan Cricket Board and the International Cricket Council.

Now that India have reached the Super 4 stage with a 100 per cent win record, Yadav was asked how he is dealing with all the pressure ahead of yet another India vs Pakistan contest.

Speaking to reporters, a day before the high-voltage clash, SKY said: "I've been very clear with all the boys. I think it is very important that if you want to do well in this tournament, and going forward, we will have to shut a lot of noise from outside. I'm not saying shut the noise completely, but take what is good for you. Someone can give good advice as well, which can help you in the game."
