The India-Pakistan Group A clash at Dubai International Cricket Stadium went ahead as scheduled despite online backlash from Indian fans.

This is the first meeting between the two countries since the cross-border clashes earlier this year, which intensified calls for boycott of the match.

Pakistan captain Salman Agha went on to win the toss and elected to bat first, like in their first match, as they fielded an unchanged playing XI.
