Australia lock horns with South Africa in the finals of the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025, starting from Wednesday, June 11, onwards at the Lord's Cricket Ground in England.
Australian all-rounder Beau Webster has been included in the squad for the World Test Championship Final and is hoping to make a comeback in the playing XI against the Proteas.

Webster justified his inclusion in the squad when he scored 57 and 39* in the final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) against India, where he also hit the winning runs to seal the series for the Kangaroos at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
However, he faces competition from his compatriot Cameron Green, who is returning from a back injury with good form by his side. It is still to be seen if the 31-year-old will be able to make the final cut ahead of Green.

Will Beau Webster make it to the WTC Final XI?
The all-rounder can make it to the Final playing XI in the event of Cameron Green playing as a pure batter. Webster has played only three tests so far, scoring 150 runs at an average of 50. The 31-year-old has a lot to prove in order to get a chance to feature for the Kangaroos in an all-important game.
Webster recently revealed that he was proud to get a chance to represent his country in such a big game, and he would do everything in his power to make it to the playing XI.
Speaking to ICC Digital, Webster said, "I would be hugely proud to represent the country in such a big game. The boys look forward to this fixture, and the two-year cycles mean there is a lot of cricket to get to this point and being a part of that, I am proud of. I will be doing everything I can to try and play and show everyone what I can do."

The 31-year-old had his preparations done in the English county for Warwickshire, where scored a total of 157 runs in four matches, including a fifty, and picked up ten wickets in the process.
"I was lucky enough to play four games for Warwickshire in some different conditions with the Dukes ball. I think it was only beneficial for both my batting and bowling, and I feel like I am hitting the ball as well as I ever have and hopefully that can continue if I get the nod (against South Africa)."
It will be interesting to see how Webster tackles the likes of Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jansen if he gets the nod to the playing XI. Australia might decide to go with a younger option in the form of Green, but Webster's recent performances don't rule him out entirely.
