Indian fans, who were starved of live cricket action after the India-England Test series, were left frustrated after the Duleep Trophy games could not be streamed live.

Why is there no live streaming or telecast for the 2025 Duleep Trophy?

Much to the disappointment of the Indian cricket fans, the season-opener of the Duleep Trophy began without a live stream. The fans who had high expectations and were eager for the game to start were left fuming.

Now, the question is - Why is there no live streaming for the Duleep Trophy?

"The BCCI has a contract with its official Broadcaster for a fixed number of Indian Cricket Telecast Days. These have to be managed carefully - only the Duleep Trophy final will be telecast live, but this needs to improve from a fan's Perspective," said Gaurav Gupta from TOI

Although the official reason for the lack of a live telecast has been revealed, fans are still left fuming, as they feel that they have missed out on some exciting cricketing action.

Nearly all big and small cricketing boards worldwide have their own YouTube channels, which they use to stream domestic games. However, despite being the richest cricket board in the world, the BCCI, surprisingly, still does not have a YouTube channel.

Several Indian stars present for the start of India's domestic season

Many of Team India's mainstays and big names from the Indian cricketing circuit are featuring in the quarter-finals of the Duleep Trophy.
