India are set to host New Zealand in a three-match ODI series, with the opening game set to take place at the Baroda Cricket Association Stadium (BCA Stadium) or Kotambi Stadium.

The Men in Blue are fielding a full-strength side against the Kiwis as captain Shubman Gill and his deputy Sheryas returned to the team after missing the South Africa series due to injuries.

Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara pitch report

There is a very small sample size to get an understanding of the pitch. However, it is expected that a flat deck will be rolled out for the Indian team.

The ball should come on to the bat nicely, and we can expect some fire crackers from Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli. Bowling first can be an advantage on this wicket, as the dew factor should be concerning while fielding under the lights.
