Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has entered a unique list of Australian batters as he smashed a magnificent century against South Africa in the third Australia vs South Africa ODI at the Great Barrier Reef in Mackay.

Green smashed a century in just 47 deliveries, in an innings which included six fours and eight sixes.

Which player holds Australia’s fastest ODI hundreds? 

Cameron Green, with his 47-ball century, became the second fastest Australian to reach the milestone, just behind his former RCB teammate Glenn Maxwell. 

Green ended with 118 runs in 55 balls, taking Australia to a mammoth 431 runs in their 50 overs. Australia is trailing the 3-match series 2-0 and is playing for its pride.

Fastest hundreds for Australia in ODIs

The dynamic right-handed batter, Glenn Maxwell, holds the record for the fastest ODI hundred by an Australian batter. Maxwell achieved the feat in just 40 deliveries against the Netherlands, a couple of years back, in 2023.

Earlier, Travis Head (142 off 103) and the Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh (100 off 106) also smashed centuries in the same game, as the Australian batters ran carnage over the Proteas bowling attack, putting up a huge total of 431.
