Bath Rugby came away with a solid six try, 40 - 15 win over the Bristol Bears in front of a sold out home crowd at The Rec.

It was Bristol that were the first to add points to the scoreboard almost instantly, with Kalaveti Ravouvou diving over the whitewash.
Bath quickly retaliated with a try of their own after a break from Miles Reid allowed him to feed the ball quickly to Pepper.
However, Bristol were an established, dangerous force for the first half an hour, as they scored again via Gabriel Oghre and Sam Worsley slotted in a penalty kick to bring their lead to 5 - 15.
Bath were not to content to allow such a significant points difference going into half time though, and managed to kick into a different gear to challenge the visitors for the first time.
Tries from Ollie Lawrence - after a perfectly timed chip to outwit Bristol defence - and Cameron Redpath just moment later meant that Bath, in the space of just ten minutes, had managed to pull into the lead 19 - 15 as the break was called.
Bath's dominant second half
Bath seemed to settle into controlling the game as the second half got underway, asserting their dominance and forcing Bristol into successive infringements, which ultimately lead to Santiago Grondona being shown a yellow card.
This was the extra advantage that Bath needed to cement their lead, as Joe Cokanasiga scored Bath’s fourth try after Russell fed the ball into the corner for the winger.
It was an electric performance from Bath right until the final whistle, as their forwards were untouchable. Sam Underhill barrelled over the line on the 81st minute, before Henry Arundell put on a truly beautiful display of rugby, running the length of the pitch before dotting down under the posts to finish the game.
