Napoli has a chance to temporarily go to the top of the Serie A table on Monday evening in Italy.

They'll have to do it without Kevin de Bruyne.

Their clash with Lecce is a winnable contest, even on the road, but KDB won't be taking part.

Why isn't Kevin de Bruyne playing today?

Kevin de Bruyne is missing out on Napoli's match against Lecce due to injury.

The Belgian legend was injured in the recent win over Inter Milan, so he misses out for Napoli's next contest.

Napoli also dropped Scott McTominay to the bench.

In the midfield three against Lecce, Napoli has gone with Billy Gilmour, Eljif Elmas and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.

There's plenty of firepower up top with Lorenzo Lucca, Politano and Noa Lang.

A win puts Napoli three points clear at the top, at least for a few hours.

De Bruyne can only watch and root on his new side.

It's a bit of a solo game, with none of the other major worldwide leagues featuring a Monday kickoff at this time, so eyes will be on Napoli trying to prove it's the best side in Italy.
