The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where a champion of the African continent will be crowned, is underway.
Hosted by 1976 champions Morocco, AFCON 2025 will anoint a new king of the CAF confederation, with a wide-open field of suitors hoping to take the throne.
Ivory Coast, 2023 champions, will attempt to become the first back-to-back AFCON winners since Egypt won three straight from 2006-2010, while Morocco look to make it two host nations in a row to lift the trophy. Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria are all in contention as well, and Nigeria hope to make up for their whiff in World Cup qualifying with a positive run.
