The DK Metcalf trade has proven to be a success thus far for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but one issue the veteran wide receiver has had in the past reared its ugly head in Week 8.

During the game against the Green Bay Packers, Metcalf let his emotions get the best of him and it ended up costing the Steelers 15 yards at a crucial juncture of the game.

As things continued to get chippy between the two sides, Metcalf was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the fourth quarter as the Steelers were trying to mount a comeback down 29-19.

Metcalf appeared to try and poke the eye of a Packers defender and also hit him with an open handed strike out of frustration after a play. Metcalf was hit with a 15-yard penalty that turned a third-and-2 into a third-and-17 that Pittsburgh couldn't overcome, which led to a punt.

Ultimately, the Steelers lost, 35-25.

Losing his cool was a consistent problem for Metcalf during his days with the Seattle Seahawks, so the team's fans won't be surprised to see it happen with the Steelers.

To be fair to Metcalf, he had been on his best behavior before Sunday night, so we can chalk this up as an outlier, at least for his stint in Pittsburgh.

But that doesn't erase the fact that he committed a major blunder that hurt his team and the Steelers simply can't afford those.
