The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-0 after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs on the road. Philadelphia began their season with a win over their NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys in a game that had a lot of controversy right off the bat.

Defensive tackle Jalen Carter spit on Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, which caused the Eagles' star defender to get disqualified from the game mere seconds into the season. Carter had his first game action of the year against the Chiefs on Sunday, where he had two tackles and four pressures on Patrick Mahomes. While Carter had a productive performance, he's still getting his game legs under him, which is what defensive coordinator Vic Fangio challenged him to do when speaking to the media.

"I think he needs to round into better shape," Fangio said. "Both he and I have talked about that. He readily admits that and I think we'll get more."

Carter and the Eagles will have another test when they face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in a rematch of the divisional round game between the two teams this past January. The winner gets to 3-0, which could also have a massive ramification on playoff seeding at the end of the season.
