The Philadelphia Eagles' offense has been sputtering in recent weeks, as the unit has scored under 20 points in three of the last four games and has looked completely out of sync.
Due to the Eagles' offensive struggles, especially in Friday's loss to the Chicago Bears, offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has been under fire. However, head coach Nick Sirianni still has faith in his coordinator.
Sirianni announced on Monday that Patullo will remain the team's offensive coordinator and continue calling plays. The Eagles' head coach added that he spent the weekend evaluating the entire unit and will make changes accordingly.
"Everything was being evaluated. We'll think about some different things what we want to do. I don't think it benefits for me to share what that is," Sirianni said via John McMullen of JAKIB Sports.
Patullo hasn't gotten the most out of his players this season, and it has led to underwhelming performances from the Eagles' offense. However, it doesn't make much sense for Philadelphia to make a coaching change in December, so they'll just have to stick with Patullo until the end of the year.
The Eagles' offense ranks in the bottom half of the league in points per game (22.6), so Pattulo hasn't done a great job. The unit has lacked juice lately, and with a coordinator change unlikely, we'll see if they can salvage the season and post more productive performances moving forward.
Philadelphia will square off against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football on the road in Week 14. Los Angeles boasts one of the league's better defenses, so the road doesn't get any easier for the struggling Eagles' offense.
