Anyone hoping that Friday's loss to the Chicago Bears might have triggered the Philadelphia Eagles to move on from offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo as the playcaller was likely not happy with the postgame comments of head coach Nick Sirianni.

When asked whether the Eagles would move on from Patullo, Sirianni deflected blame away from the embattled offensive coordinator, saying (per Dave Zangaro, NBC Sports Philadelphia), "When you win, when you lose, it's never about one person." Responding to a follow-up (also per Zangaro), Sirianni flatly stated, "We’re not changing the playcaller."

Looking at the standings, things are going OK for the Eagles. Even after Friday's loss, Philadelphia sits at 8-4, leading the NFC East. That's the good news. The bad news? Things have been bumpy in recent weeks, particularly for the offense.

In Week 12's game against the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia scored on its first three possessions en route to a 21-0 an early lead. The Cowboys ultimately stormed back to win 24-21. Ultimately, the collapse can't be entirely blamed on the defense. But had the Philadelphia offense been able to score (or even pick up more than a few first downs) after the opening minutes of the second quarter, Dallas' comeback would have been a lot more difficult.

Those struggles, of course, continued into Week 13, when the Eagles managed only 15 points. Also, even in victory, the Eagles managed only 10 points against the Green Bay Packers in Week 10 and 16 against the Detroit Lions in Week 11. Additionally, the frustrated fans haven't been the only ones to voice their displeasure with the offense.

Is sticking with Patullo the right move for Sirianni?

He's the biggest change to the offense on a team that won the Super Bowl a year ago. So, it's hard to defend Patullo as the team continues to struggle.

Certainly, not wanting to make a change this late in the season is understandable. But if the offense continues to struggle and the team can't break its losing ways, the frustration in Philadelphia will only get louder.
