When the ESPN Monday Night Football broadcast panned to Jason Kelce, color commentator Troy Aikman had his say.

Aikman was asked if he thought the Eagles should start calling the legendary center to make a comeback.

"I would be surprised if they haven't already," Aikman said. "... I think I'd be knocking on his door every week to try to get him to come back. He can still do it."

Aside from the fact that Kelce appears to have lost a lot of his offensive line playing weight, it's an intriguing idea.

He played 13 seasons in the NFL and is regarded as one of the best centers of his generation. He won two Super Bowl rings with the Eagles.

He already teased, jokingly, this summer that a comeback might be coming:

“I'm not looking forward to that. I got four girls, and they're gonna be in high school pretty much at the same time. I might just, I'm gonna unretire. I'm gonna unretire. And 60, 50-something years old. Jason Kelce’s trying to make an NFL comeback.”

There has been no actual indication that Kelce wants to come back.

He is doing plenty of stuff away from the field that doesn't involve getting his head bashed into on every play after snapping the ball to the QB.

Kelce was great at what he did, but that doesn't mean he'll be coming back anytime soon.
