There's nothing more exciting in fantasy football than having the "hammer."
Your opponent's players are all done for the week, and you've got a star playing on Monday Night Football. Even with a deficit, hope springs eternal. There's a chance to catch up.
Jalen Hurts was supposed to be that hammer for his fantasy managers on Monday night. Instead, he played one of the worst games of his career in an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers to cap off Week 14.
Hurts did throw for 240 yards and run for eight more, but there were no trips to the end zone.
Instead, he threw four interceptions and lost a fumble (including one play on which he managed to do both).
It had Eagles fans and fantasy players all waking up Tuesday morning wondering what happened.

Did Jalen Hurts get hurt?
That's the thing, though: Hurts didn't get hurt. He just had a nightmare of a game.
He had even put up a couple positive fantasy points by the time the game's final play rolled around, but that's when he threw his fourth interception and lost ground again.
In standard scoring, Hurts finished with 0.4 fantasy points.

The good news, at least in some ways for the Eagles and for those who rely on Hurts in fantasy, is that he stayed healthy. He's still a difference maker, and he wouldn't be that if he wasn't on the field.
But at least for Monday night, things couldn't have gone much worse for Hurts.
