Jets analyst blasts Justin Fields, says he's 'not an NFL quarterback' image

The New York Jets were on a two-game winning streak heading into Week 11's Thursday Night Football matchup against the New England Patriots.

Justin Fields and the offense started strong with an impressive eight-minute touchdown drive to open the game. But after that, the offense completely stagnated, leading to a 27-14 loss.

After the game on Jets postgame on SNY, NFL analyst Willie Colon shared his thoughts on Fields' performance. He didn't hold back, blasting Fields for another rough week from the $40 million quarterback.

Jets' Justin Fields called 'not an NFL quarterback' by an NFL analyst

"You don't need to watch anything," Colon said. "Justin Fields is not an NFL quarterback."

Fields finished his Week 11 performance against a tough Patriots defense with 116 passing yards and one touchdown on 16-25 passing. He also added 67 rushing yards and a touchdown on 11 rushes, while getting sacked twice for 11 yards lost.

While he didn't throw an interception, Fields had a brutal late fumble when the game was still within reach. He couldn't handle a low snap and then failed to recover the fumble despite having time to do so.

His overall night wasn't a great one, despite his two touchdowns and solid rushing performance. After the first drive, where the Jets got 72 total yards en route to a touchdown, their next four drives totaled just 25 yards.

Fields' touchdown pass to John Metchie came when a defender fell, which accounted for 22 of Fields' 116 passing yards. After that 65-yard touchdown drive, the Jets only managed 54 yards total on their next three drives.

The Jets' passing offense with Fields has struggled a ton this season, and Colon is over the Fields experiment. His comment doesn't mince words, saying that Fields isn't an NFL quarterback.

For now, Aaron Glenn isn't making a change. But his struggles might force Glenn's hand.
