The New York Jets pulled off two stunning blockbuster trades at the 2025 NFL trade deadline.

First, New York sent Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts for two first-round picks and Adonai Mitchell to begin the big day. Then came a Quinnen Williams trade, in which the Dallas Cowboys sent Mazi Smith, a 2027 first and a 2026 second-round pick for the All-Pro defensive tackle.

After both of those trades, a potential Breece Hall move became the next domino to fall. However, he wasn't dealt, and his posts, which he has since deleted, revealed how he felt about not being moved.

What did Breece Hall tweet?

After Gardner was traded, Hall posted a GIF on X that seemingly indicated the Jets star was keeping a close eye on trades from New York. He then made another post, this time after the Williams trade, which was a queasy emoji.

These two posts were then deleted by Hall as the deadline passed. Both posts were in reaction to the Jets' trade deadline moves.

At the time, it was hard to get a grasp of why he shared them. But when NFL insider Jordan Schultz posted that Hall wanted to be traded, these posts, and their subsequent deletion in the wake of Hall not being traded, make it clear.

Neither Gardner nor Williams was expected to be dealt, while Hall was often brought up in trade talks.

And yet, Hall wasn't moved, despite clearly wanting to be traded. New York held onto the 24-year-old running back despite the 2025 season being the last one he's under control for.

This doesn't just hurt Hall, but it also hurts the Jets. Hall is likely now frustrated with the front office and will more than likely try to leave the team in free agency.

Even if the Jets try to franchise tag him, Hall isn't in a good place with the franchise, as his wish to be traded wasn't met.
