The New York Jets are coming off a tough couple of days. On Wednesday, they lost Garrett Wilson to injured reserve, and on Thursday, they lost to the New England Patriots.
Wilson's loss is a huge one for the Jets offense, and while John Metchie showed promise, the loss of the team's number one receiver is a huge blow.
However, the day after the loss, Aaron Glenn revealed a very encouraging update on Wilson's status going forward. While he's going to miss the next three weeks, there's a good chance Wilson is back on the field for the Jets this season.
Aaron Glenn reveals encouraging Garrett Wilson return chances
"I do, I do," Glenn said in response to whether Wilson is expected to return or not this season. "A lot of that has to do with the docs... Hopefully he'll be back with us."

Wilson needs to miss four weeks after being placed on injured reserve, and he's already missed one week for the Jets' Week 11 matchup on Thursday Night Football against the Patriots.
Now, he's only in line to miss three more weeks, with matchups against the Baltimore Ravens, Atlanta Falcons, and Miami Dolphins the minimum he has to miss.
Based on these comments from Glenn, there's a chance that Wilson could return as early as Week 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Getting a star player like Wilson back would be huge, especially for the final stretch of the season.

Even if New York isn't fighting for a playoff spot, and instead for the top pick in the NFL Draft, having Wilson back will be a good way to close out the 2025 season on a positive note.
If the Jets wind up making the quarterback switch to Tyrod Taylor, then Wilson might be able to put up some big statistics in the final four weeks of the season.
And if nothing else, he could help the Jets play spoiler in Weeks 17 and 18 against the Patriots and Buffalo Bills.
Glenn's comments are some good news for Wilson's chances of returning later this season. He's not been shut down for the year, instead landing on injured reserve for what could wind up being the shortest time possible.
