The New York Giants are getting Jaxson Dart back on Monday Night Football against the New England Patriots to close out Week 13.
But with Dart coming off a concussion injury absence, the Giants may not do things the way they were before Dart's injury.
One key piece of the offense before Dart got hurt was designed runs.
On Monday night, don't expect those to be called.

According to ESPN's Jordan Raanan: "One offensive player told ESPN he didn't expect designed runs in this week's game plan against the Patriots. That should help limit the hits that Dart takes."
Dart could still scramble of his own accord, but limiting designed runs at least limits the chances of Dart deciding to finish a run through a defender and getting hurt again.
Maybe down the road, the Giants figure out how to let Dart run freely while also avoiding injury.
But for now, with the Giants' season going nowhere, the best thing they can do is give Dart a chance to keep developing while staying healthy.

Ironically, Monday night opponent and Patriots second-year QB Drake Maye has a lot of the Dart tendencies as far as running and being just a bit reckless at the end of his runs.
But this season, the Pats have found ways to protect Maye while letting him remain his best self, too, and they've had a magical year.
Maybe the Giants can look across the way at Maye and find lessons they can learn to help Dart lead them to a much better season in 2026.
