Justin Herbert knew he couldn't miss this game.
The 8-4 Los Angeles Chargers take on the 8-4 Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football to cap off Week 14, and although Herbert was questionable, he's playing.
He and his coaches have all affirmed that Herbert is starting. It'll just be a matter of playing through the pain.

What is Justin Herbert's injury?
Herbert has a finger fracture on his non-throwing (left) hand.
He sustained the injury in Week 13 against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Herbert left that game during the first quarter but returned later on after backup Trey Lance filled in for a little while. When he returned, he had a protective covering on his left hand.
Leading into the Week 14 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, Herbert was listed as a limited participant in the Chargers' practices.
There's a chance the Chargers limit certain aspects of their offense with Herbert's left hand hurting.
That could include not taking many snaps under center. Jim Harbaugh also floated the idea of using Trey Lance in short yardage spots to take a snap under center and potentially surge forward or hand off quickly.
The Chargers could've elevated QB3 DJ Uiagalelei from the practice on Monday to make him the emergency third quarterback in case Herbert gets hurt again. But given that L.A. Didn't make that roster maneuver, it suggests the Chargers feel pretty much fine about Herbert's health.
