After entering the season with plenty of hype, Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey hasn't been as productive as he was during his rookie campaign.
McConkey entered Week 14 with 683 receiving yards, which puts him behind the pace for the 1,149 yards he tallied in 2024. However, it's worth noting that he has much more competition for targets this season than he did last season.
In the Week 14 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, McConkey is off to a quiet start. Here's why.
Is Ladd McConkey playing tonight?
UPDATE: We're through one half of football on Monday night and McConkey has just two targets and no catches. It has been a bad night for Los Angeles' offense overall, so things aren't looking good for any of the Chargers' pass-catchers.
UPDATE: We're midway through the second quarter and McConkey is still without a catch and is stuck on one target.
Yes, McConkey is healthy and active, he just hasn't been targeted yet.
It looked like quarterback Justin Herbert wanted to go his way on one play, but McConkey got knocked down by an Eagles defender.
The Chargers also went to their running backs early and often, both on the ground and through the air, so that didn't help.
Hopefully McConkey gets going on drive No. 2.
