The Kansas City Chiefs face a must-win game against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field in Week 11, as the AFC West champs' season for some is on the line.

With Bo Nix and Co. Marching down the field on the game's first drive to convert a field goal, as the Chiefs took the field, tight end Travis Kelce wasn't sighted on Kansas City's first drive.

Rashee Rice picked up a first down on a short pass from Patrick Mahomes, but then multiple downfield shots fell incomplete as the Chiefs were forced to punt.

Yes, it is early, but the Chiefs, having given up two field goals to Denver on its first two drives, need their All-Pro tight end to come to the party.

And we imagine that Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy will get No. 87 rolling soon enough.

Chiefs' season on the line vs. Denver

At 5-4, the Chiefs know it's gut-check time as it pertains to their hopes of continuing their nine-year winning streak in the division.

The Broncos, at 8-2, have a chance to pull further away from their rivals and even put a line through Kansas City's chances of winning the division. Plus, the Chiefs are on the outside looking in at the playoff picture, and a loss would put Kansas City even further behind.

After a slow start from the offense, and the Broncos' offense seemingly in good order early on, Reid and Mahomes are going to have to get rolling if they are to save their season.
