The Indianapolis Colts are doing something fun but necessary with the signing of quarterback Philip Rivers.

According to multiple reports, the Colts are signing Rivers to the practice squad in the hopes he can save their season.

Indianapolis lost Daniel Jones to a season-ending injury, which was particularly problematic for a Colts team now on the outside looking in for the playoffs.

As the Colts hope Rivers can guide them to the postseason, the rest of the NFL is going to have a blast seeing him back on the field, no matter what he does.

But it remains to be seen exactly what Rivers has left in the tank. After all, he's 44 years old and hasn't played a snap of football in the league since 2020.

As we wait to see how this plays out, Rivers' return from retirement at his advanced age creates a whole bunch of fun age-related facts.

Here's some of them.
