The Indianapolis Colts are resorting to truly desperate, but exciting measures, at the quarterback position. Per Ian Rapoport, the Colts are bringing in Philip Rivers for a workout to see if he is able to join their practice squad.

"The Colts are planning to bring potential Hall of Fame QB Philip Rivers into their facility Tuesday to work out to see if he may join their practice squad, per me & Mike Garafolo," Rapoport posts on X. "This is real. Daniel Jones’ season is over, Riley Leonard will start, but Rivers may be an option."

Rivers played with the Colts for one season in 2020, leading the team to a playoff appearance before losing in the wild card to the Buffalo Bills.

The Colts lost Daniel Jones for the season to a torn Achilles in Week 14 during their loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Backup quarterback Anthony Richardson is also injured, as is third-string quarterback Riley Leonard.
