The Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts could all use upgrades at kicker, and a household name at the position is officially back on the market.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, commissioner Roger Goodell lifted former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker's suspension on Tuesday, meaning he is free to sign with any team.

Tucker was suspended for the first ten contests of the season due to a violation of the league's personal conduct policy. The veteran was released by the Ravens in May, a month before he was handed a punishment from the NFL.

"Justin Tucker’s 10-game suspension officially was lifted by the commissioner today. Released by the Ravens in May, Tucker remains eligible to sign with any team," Pelissero wrote.

Though Tucker is one of the greatest kickers of all time, the seven-time Pro Bowler had the worst year of his illustrious career in 2024, nailing 22 of 30 field goals, which comes out to a 73.3% field goal rate. Tucker also struggled from long distance, hitting 6 of 11 kicks from 50-plus yards.

Tucker didn't look like his usual self last year, but his proven track record makes him an enticing target for teams that need a change at kicker.

The Brandon McManus experiment in Green Bay hasn't been great, so Green Bay could look to try something new with Tucker. Daniel Carlson has taken a step back in Las Vegas this season, but the Raiders likely won't target Tucker, given that they just signed Greg Joseph to push Carlson.

Indianapolis could also pursue Tucker, though the chances aren't very high. Michael Badgley hasn't been totally unreliable, but it's still too early for the Colts to give up on him.

Green Bay makes the most sense for Tucker, as Matt LaFleur's squad is a contender and has a serious need for a reliable kicker. Tucker may not be a high-level option anymore, but he would be a massive upgrade over the sporadic McManus.
