The Dallas Cowboys have a huge question mark in wide receiver CeeDee Lamb ahead of the Week 15 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.

Lamb suffered what appeared to be a severe concussion in the Week 14 loss to the Detroit Lions that led to his early exit from the contest.

Lamb's concussion was scary, as he showed the "fencing response" after hitting the ground hard while trying to make a catch in the end zone and was immediately ruled out.

As we turn the page to Week 15, here's what we know about Lamb's status for Sunday.

Will CeeDee Lamb play in Week 15?

We would consider Lamb's chances of playing against the Vikings slightly better than 50/50.

We've seen the "fencing response" from a player who suffered a concussion multiple times over the years, but the most notable instance of that was when Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion in 2022.

After that concussion, Tagovailoa missed two games. While Tagovailoa does have a lengthy and scary history with concussions, that was his first documented one in the NFL, so his concussion history didn't really play a part there.

On the bright side, both head coach Brian Schottenheimer and executive vice president Stephen Jones said Lamb is making progress early on this week.

“He’s doing a good job. He’s meeting all the thresholds that you need to meet that will get him to where he can play this week. So far he’s had no setbacks," Jones explained on 105.3 The Fan on Monday.

Schottenheimer added that Lamb "is doing good, progressing nicely" in the concussion protocol.

Another thing working in Lamb's favor is the fact that the Cowboys have three extra days since he suffered the concussion.

Given the positive updates from Schottenheimer and Jones, and the extra time Lamb has, it gives us hope he'll be able to suit up in Week 15.

We'll get our next update on Lamb on Wednesday, when the Cowboys release their first injury report. A limited practice or more would be a good sign, but remember Lamb must turn in a full practice before he can clear the protocol.
