There's certainly been a lot of talk about what the Cleveland Browns have done with their quarterback situation, and youngster Shedeur Sanders truly did a nice job in his first start with the organization.
He only completed 11 of 20 passes, threw for 209 yards and one touchdown and an interception, but he won the game, and for the Browns, that's a lot better than any other quarterback has done in their first start in a very long time.
There are still a lot of questions on whether Sanders will be the long-term answer at the position, and he seems to understand that.
When speaking to reporters about it, he said he's not comfortable with how he played first and foremost, and also understands that in life, things can change quickly. He wants to continue to improve and show the Browns he deserves to be the starter long term.
"I'm definitely not comfortable, though, so that's first and foremost that I have another opportunity to go out there," Sanders said Wednesday, per ESPN. "But in life, you got to understand how quickly things come or how long it comes, it could be taken at any point in time.
"So I'm never comfortable in a situation I'm in. I always want to exceed expectations, and I always want to grow in each and every week, I would want to put a better product of myself, be a better version of myself for the team to be out there."
Many questioned what Sanders was as a person heading into the draft, and frankly, all of that seemed to be a bit unfair. All the young man has done is say the right things.
He's confident, which isn't a bad thing when it comes to your quarterback.
