Bengals receive concerning news on Tee Higgins after first game back from concussion image

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins looked like he didn't miss a beat in his return from concussion protocol.

In the 39-34 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 14, Higgins was the Bengals' top pass-catcher in the contest. While being targeted 11 times, the 26-year-old recorded six receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

Although the Bengals dropped to 4-9 on the season and are now three games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North, the real concern for Cincinnati is the status of their Pro Bowl receiver.

Tee Higgins is experiencing concussion-like symptoms after Week 14 loss to Bills

ESPN insider Ben Baby said on the day after the Bengals' Week 14 loss that Tee Higgins "experienced concussion-like symptoms last night and this morning and is back in protocol."

This is very concerning for the wide receiver. He had just returned from a one-game absence after suffering a concussion in Week 12 against the New England Patriots.

It appears that Higgins suffered the head injury late in the Week 14 loss to the Buffalo Bills, but would continue to play for the remainder of the game.

His status for next week's pivotal matchup against their division rival, the Baltimore Ravens, is in question.

If he's unable to suit up for the contest, the Bengals will be without one of their top wide receivers once again. In 12 games, Higgins has 667 receiving yards and leads the team in receiving touchdowns with nine.
