Bengals get concerning update on Tee Higgins after first missed game of 2025 image

The Cincinnati Bengals looked like a brand new team after quarterback Joe Burrow made his long-awaited return on Thanksgiving night, helping lead Cincinnati to a 32-14 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

However, Cincinnati was without Tee Higgins in the win. The wide receiver entered concussion protocol after suffering the injury in Week 12 against the New England Patriots.

On Monday, Higgins was given a new update. It appears that his status for Week 14 is still up in the air.

WR Tee Higgins remains in concussion protocol; status for Week 14 remains unknown

According to ESPN insider Ben Baby, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said on Monday that wide receiver Tee Higgins remains in concussion protocol after suffering the injury eight days ago against the New England Patriots.

Higgins, 26, is in jeopardy of missing out on his second straight game while the Bengals take on the Buffalo Bills.

If he's unable to clear protocol, Joe Burrow and the Bengals will be without the other half of their top receiver duo alongside Ja'Marr Chase.

In 11 games this season, Higgins has 40 receptions on 70 targets, 575 yards, and leads the team in receiving touchdowns with seven.

This injury has come at a crucial time, as Cincinnati remains in contention for the AFC North title. They are just two games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6) and the Baltimore Ravens (6-6).
