The Chicago Bears took on the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday afternoon, perhaps one of the biggest games of the 2025-26 NFL season. The Bears played much better than Philadelphia, coming away with the win.

There's a lot to like about what the Bears have done on both sides of the football, and with the Eagles' defense arguably being the best in the NFL, it was impressive that Chicago came out and did what it had to do.

For Caleb Williams, this game meant a bit more to him than it typically would. His reasoning for it was rather simple, talking about how he and Jalen Hurts are much more alike due to their skin color, adding that there aren't many similar to the two star quarterbacks.

"It was, there's not many like us you know, in our position, and who we are and you know, skin tone and all these things," Williams said, per the Chicago Sun Times. “There's not many like us. And so just being able to understand the opportunity that we have and I have to maximize that and put myself in the best opportunity possible. It was kind of that type of talk…

"He's kinda, pretty motivational."

It seems like Williams and Hurts have a nice relationship off the field, which is always great to see. They have some connections due to playing for Oklahoma at different points.
It sounds like Williams has a lot of respect for Hurts, and rightfully so. He's a good guy, has won at the highest level, and seems respectable.
