With less than one hour to go before the NFL trade deadline passes, a Buffalo Bills beat writers has opened the door for the team to pull off one or two trades.
According to The Athletic's Tim Graham, keep an eye out for the Bills to possibly pull off a trade with the Washington Commanders for Deebo Samuel AND/OR Von Miller.
"Keep an eye on Deebo Samuel and/or Von Miller to BUF from WA," Graham wrote.
The Bills have needs at both wide receiver and edge rusher, as they simply haven't gotten enough out of the former position and they just lost Michael Hoecht at the latter spot, so on paper these players make sense.
However, beyond the paper, Samuel operates in the same parts of the field as fellow wide receiver Khalil Shakir, so that might not be a good fit.
As for Miller, the Bills cut him earlier this offseason because he simply wasn't worth the money. But Miller does have four sacks in nine games while playing just 35% of the snaps, so he's still got something left in the tank and could help Buffalo.
We'll see if the Bills ultimately get something done for one or both of these players.
