If the Buffalo Bills' struggling wide receiver group wants to break through on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, they'll have to do it against the son of a former New England Patriots star.

On Saturday, the Steelers announced they are elevating Asante Samuel Jr. From the practice squad to be on the gameday roster against Buffalo. It'll be the season debut for Samuel, who joined the Steelers as a free agent earlier this month.

Samuel's father was one of the best cornerbacks in the league when he suited up for the Pats.

Samuel Jr. Had been with the Los Angeles Chargers until this season.

The younger Samuel had spinal-fusion surgery in the offseason.

Samuel Jr. Turned 26 in October. He has 37 passes defensed and six interceptions through four NFL seasons.

He's still a talented player, if healthy.

The Bills have had a tough enough time getting open.

Now with another talented DB on the other side, it'll be just that little bit tougher.

Buffalo is without its starting left and right tackles due to injury, too. That could force Josh Allen to get rid of the ball quickly. If Samuel is locked in, he may just have a chance to jump a quick pass and make a play in his Steelers debut.
